To whom it may concern;
I am a writer-producer with over 100 credits to my name, including STAR TREK – THE NEXT GENERATION, SLIDERS, BABYLON 5 and DEEP SPACE NINE. Most recently, I was Executive Producer on a pilot presentation I wrote and produced in association with Tom Fontana.
I'm writing to acquaint you with a gifted actress I've been working with. Her name is Barbara Kerr Condon. You may have spotted her in RED DRAGON, and shortly you'll see her in the new Coen Brothers movie. She's also been featured extensively in some of the most popular TV dramas and comedies.
There are some handy ways to quickly thumbnail Barbara – a woman of mature years, a dame with some mileage on her, an old lady. None of these come close to capturing the essence of this wonderful lady.
She has a face that catches your eye and holds it; it can be lovely, hideous, vicious, full of life, or of the grave. She never gives you a moment that is anything but honest, well-considered, striking. She is a delight to watch, and to work with.
Her range is beyond impressive. Without breaking a sweat, she can convince you she's from the right side of the tracks, has never gotten her hands dirty or chipped a nail. Or she can be the most skanky white trash you've ever seen, a hell-spawn to give Norman Bates’ mom a run for her money.
But I've said enough – her reel tells the tale. I urge you to take a look at it right now, before you do another thing. You’ll be glad you did. She'll make your life easier, make your work shine, make you proud of what you – and she – will soon create.
